Missions Ukranian Relief Support

Ukranian Relief Support

With the Ukrainian Conflict, the need for Missionary Support has never been stronger.  Here at Emmanuel Baptist Church, we are a Mission Directed Church; ‘we are training for mission.’  We are proud to support various missionaries and mission agencies around the world.

While there are many organizations to which you can support.  Either financially and with prayer, we would like to encourage you to support those who have direct links to Emmanuel.

ABWE

Mike and Mary Lou Rummey:  Mike and Mary Lou have been serving in Romania with ABWE (Across Borders for World Evangelism) for many years.  They have been supported by Emmanuel, through ABWE, since their departure to Romania.  They are very close to the Ukrainian border.  With their proximity to the border, they are seeing large numbers of refugees in the city.  There is a financial need to provide food, shelter and clothing for the refugees.

Crossworld

Samuel and Bonita Schafer:  Samuel and Bonita are serving with Crossworld Canada.  Emmanuel first met Bonita 11 years ago as the first contact to Lemuel in Haiti.  Emmanuel has worked directly with Samuel and Bonita in Haiti on multiple teams trips to Haiti before they returned to Samuels home country of Germany.  Currently, they are in Poland and are focused on networking with other churches and missionaries in the Polish region to create safe passage for refugees out of the Ukraine.  Their financial need is for food, shelter and transportation costs for the refugees.

Avant

Leah Vanderlaan:  Due to Russian forces' invasion of Ukraine, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians have fled the country. Many are arriving in Poland, and the vast majority are women and children. Currently, Avant church plants in the cities of Gdańsk and Poznań Poland are providing relief by housing refugees as they enter both cities. The churches have also sent teams with supplies to the border and have transported refugees back to their cities.

Your gift will provide relief to Ukrainian refugees, specifically with food, water, housing, and other essential needs. Your donation may also support Polish families who have opened their homes to house refugees for weeks or even months during this crisis. Funds will be used according to the needs that arise in Poland or in other European countries. We invite you to be a part of this relief work through your donation and ask you to join us in praying for those who have been affected.
