Riches

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”  Ephesians 1:3.

What does it take for you to think that you are rich? Does being rich mean that you have a huge bank account, with many investments? Does it mean you have a fancy car sitting in your garage? Is it a lakeside cottage with all the bells and whistles? Does it mean you can buy anything that you want at any time? Is that what it means to be rich?

We might not be so bold as to say yes to these questions, but what does your life reflect about them? Many Christians are completely in tune with the world’s standards for riches. Many strive to have and get more and more. Money becomes the be all and end all goal. We work to get more stuff. We compare ourselves to others and try to keep up to their standards. Greed and the accumulation of things, takes over our lives.

As we read in Ephesians we realize that in Christ we are all rich. Even though we may have a mortgage and car payment, we are truly rich in ChristWe can acknowledge that the Almighty God has already poured out His riches blessings upon us.

Ephesians 1:3 says that God has already blessed us with every spiritual blessing. He lavishly pours out His blessings on us. Oh, how rich we are. Things like homes, money and cars will not bring true happiness, but God’s blessings will always do that. Thank Him today for your rich blessings in Christ Jesus. Our riches are eternal.
