Talking With God

“I love the Lord, because He has heard my voice and supplication.” Psalm 116:1

How do you pray? Do you only pray for the “big things” in life? Like revival, salvation of loved ones or world peace. Do you think that God does not have the time to deal with the “little things”? Like your pain from an illness, or help in finding your lost keys.

If you think that God’s power and will is lacking to help in the small things of life, than His power and will will also be lacking in the big things. So when you pray ask the question, “Do I really expect God to answer? I trust the resounding answer is “Yes”.

When we come to God in prayer for the every day things in our life, He meets us and helps us with those things. Seeing God work through this gives us faith to boldly ask about bigger things that we desire. Remember we always need to pray that God’s will be done and not our own.. God delights when His children pray.

Thank God for being present in the small details of your life. When we find Him in the small things it gives us courage to bring the Larger and bigger things to Him.
