‘And He said to them, “ Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”  Mark 16:15.

Faith begins with an understanding of God’s power. After the Resurrection Jesus appeared to two of His disciples. The other disciples did not believe the reports because they felt it was too good to be true. Jesus rebuked them for their unbelief. He knew that it would take great faith for them to take on the great commission that He had planned for them.

Eleven men had the responsibility to spread the gospel to the entire world. They were eleven ordinary men who were fuelled by the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. Our task does not seem as daunting as that of these disciples, and yet we often consider evangelism impossible for us to do. Yet we have the same power available to us.

Clarence Hall wrote, “ The problem is not that we have exhausted our frontiers. The problem is that we fail to recognize them. And as our vision shortens our pessimism deepens.”

Recognize the frontiers for the gospel with God’s power. Ask God to forgive your shortsightedness. Ask Him to infuse you with a powerful drive to witness and share the gospel with others. That is what He has called us to do.
