About Internships

Leadership Development

We exist to make disciples of Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to the glory of God the Father. As a church, our goals can be summed up in three words: Know, Grow, and Go.

We are passionate about seeing people train to know Christ, train to grow in relationship with Christ, and train to go on mission with the gospel of Jesus Christ. To that end, all of our services, programs, and ministries have been designed to help you taste and see more clearly the treasure that is Jesus Christ. We are faithful to teach the Bible, in hopes that you would learn to apply its truths to your life.

One of the ways we are seeking to accomplish this vision is through our internship programs. These programs endeavour to help students grow in their knowledge of Christ, their maturity in Christ and in their abilities and gifts in serving Christ. Not only will they know, grow and be trained to go but we hope that they will spread that vision to the children, youth, and adults they serve from week to week while employed at EBC.

 Impact Workers

Ministry Involvement

Impact Workers will work alongside our ministry staff to facilitate more discipleship and evangelism at EBC. They will be involved in many practical needs like set up, clean up, and day to day facility requirements as well as ministering to kids and youth through our regular ministries. They will primarily serve in the kids and youth ministries though they will be given other opportunities based on their gifting and desires.

Ministry Training

They will be partnered up with a faithful member of EBC for the sake of ongoing mentorship and care. Our ministry staff will seek to disciple them informally through ongoing relationships and working closely together as well as formally through discipleship training and discussions.

Ministry Partnership

We are happy to partner with the Liebenzell Mission of Canada. Their slogan is “Reaching people around the world with God’s grace through Jesus Christ.” If you'd like to know more about them and their work around the world click here.

Ministry Opportunities

Our impact workers have 2 primary needs:

First, they need somewhere to stay. If you or someone you know is willing to host them for part of the 11 months or for the whole time please reach out to Pastor Mitch and we can see if that makes sense for everyone.

Second, we are looking for members (not staff) who are willing to walk alongside our Impact Workers and help them navigate the challenges and struggles they face while they live here and serve at EBC. This would look like meeting once every 2 or 3 weeks to chat and spend time with them as well as committing to pray for them regularly. If you are interested in participating in this please reach out to Pastor Mitch.
