Teen Day Camp

July 23 - 26

w/ Guest Speaker Tyler Oldrieve

Do you want to just survive your pre-teen years, or do you want to THRIVE?!

Naturally, you'd say, "I want to thrive."
Well guess what, that's God's desire for you as well.

So join us this year at TDC 2018 to learn from the Bible about the
good and abundant life that God has waiting for you.

If you've never been to Teen Day Camp before,
it is a high-energy, fun, and relational summer camp experience just for Jr. High Students.

At camp, you'll make new friends and hang out with awesome camp leaders.
You'll play crazy games, go on afternoon adventures, win prizes (hopefully),
and cap the week off with a trip to Canada's Wonderland.

But most importantly...

You'll meet Jesus! The most amazing person in the world.
And you'll learn about him from God's Word, the Bible.
Our prayer is that each student who attends TDC will come to know God
and His amazing love, which will result in a life forever changed.

Check out the video below from last years camp to get an idea what its all about.

the following 2 steps to complete the registration process and secure their spot:
(1) Submit Payment, and (2) Submit an online waiver for your child to the Junction Climbing Centre

(1) Payment:
*New this year: You will have the choice of on-line payment OR payment at the church.

If you choose to pay online:
Visit our church website homepage, and click the Teen Day Camp Logo, which will take you to our
church paypal account. From their, you can submit payment ($130) by credit or debot.

If you choose to pay at the church:
Come into the church office on Tuesday, April 17, 8:30am – 5:00pm.

If payment is not received by Friday, April 20th, your campers name will be moved to the bottom of the waiting list.

Please make cheques payable to Emmanuel Baptist Church.  Payment may be accepted in two installments
at the office – half of total cost on the day of payment day and the remainder on a post-dated cheque dated
for May 21, 2018.  There is a $25 admin fee for NSF cheques. Full refund minus $20 admin fee will be given
before June 1.  No refunds after June 1. Receipts will emailed to the camper address at year end.

(2) Submit and online waiver to the Junction Climbing Centre

On the first day of camp, Monday July 23rd, we’ll be visiting the Junction Climbing Centre in London.
Each camper MUST submit an online waiver in order to climb.
Even if you think your child will not want to climb, you still need to fill out a waiver just in case, and for our records.
If they choose not to climb on that day, that’s fine, but they will still need to travel with us, sit and watch.

Visit junctionclimbing.com to complete the waiver.

FIRST DAY: Arrive early on the first day (8:30 am) as registration always takes a little bit longer on Monday.
Campers will get to choose their own small group and Wonderland group.
Your child will receive a colored bracelet at registration, and it may be different then the color of a friend. Please
encourage them not to panic, those bracelets are only for choosing participants for group games during our session
time,it does not mean they have to be separated from their friends.

FOOD: Same as school, campers will provide their own lunch and snacks each day. Please make sure all
food is peanut-free. Bring a reusable water bottle with you as we have a water fountain on site.
We will provide a snack for the campers on TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY.

CLOTHES: Campers should bring a bathing suit, towel, indoor/outdoor footwear,
and backpack with them each day to accommodate the various activities.

SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES: Monday will be indoor rock climbing at the Junction Climbing Centre, and games in a park.
Tuesday, half the group (40 campers) will visit Laser Quest, the other half will swim at Thames Pool in London.
Wednesday, campers will do the opposite activity that they did on Tuesday.
Thursday, we spend all day at Canada's Wonderland.

CANADA'S WONDERLAND: All campers will be chaperoned by an adult or high school leader.
Please go over the following rules with your child before the trip:
- All students are personally (with their group) required to check in with us between 4-5 pm and
at 7:00 pm to load the bus for departure at 7:30 pm sharp.
- All students must remain in their groups, with their chaperone at all times. For example,
if one student needs to use the bathroom, everyone in that group must go. Same applies for rides.
- We will make up groups during the week and try our best to put friends together and those with similar
ride interests. We cannot guarantee that each camper will get to do every single ride/attraction they desire.
